Dance bags are required. Please clearly label all dance supplies. Food and drinks are not allowed to be consumed between and during classes. However, water will be allowed in a sports bottle labeled with the student’s name. Check your student’s dance bag after each class. Information is often sent home. Candy and gum are not allowed to be brought into the studio. Wear cover-ups or street clothes to and from class. Drop off's arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your first class. Pick up students promptly after class. There will be a $20.00 fee charged after 10 minutes for students left at the studio. Classes are not to be interrupted and only participating students are allowed in the classroom. You must meet mandatory practices, no exceptions allowed.

Payments are due on the 1st of each month and no later than the 10th of the month. A $10.00 late charge will be added to accounts, which are not paid in full by the 20th of the month. A $25.00 charge will be added to all NSF checks. If your payment status falls 2 months behind on tuition, the student will not be able to continue their dance lessons. Please Note: Tuition is to be made on a separate check from all other payables.

Students are expected to attend class on a regular basis. Please make every effort to attend all your classes especially in the months from January through June. It is not fair to you or your classmates if your absences are excessive. Our attendance policy is as follows:

3 Unexcused Absences
The student will be excluded from all or parts of their routines.

7 Or More Dance Classed Missed
Student will be denied credit for the year and the privilege of performing in the revue. Roll will be taken each week. Therefore this policy will be strictly adhered to. If a student wishes to discontinue his or her training at Scott Academy of Dance you must inform the school in writing; otherwise, you will continue to be charged.

Preschool and Kindergarten
Leotard with stockings, Taps, Ballet Shoes with Grips
Tap shoes need either buckled straps or elastic sewn in a circle through the loops (to replace ribbons).

Primary, Intermediate and Advanced Classes
Wear: Leotard with stockings (Pink Stockings for Ballet)
Shoes: Taps (No high heels), Pink Canvas Ballets, Slip on Jazz Shoes.
Skirts may be worn for Ballet Only.
Jazz pants may be worn for Tap & Jazz.
Hair should be neatly pulled up (Preferably in a Bun).

The week of November 15-19, 2010 is set aside if you wish to visit your student’s classroom, meet their instructor(s) and observe your student’s participation in the class. This is the only allotted time for this activity, if you would like to participate.

We practice at the Heymann Performing Arts Center on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Dress Rehearsal will be the morning of, Friday, June 10, 2011. The Revue will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 starting at 6:30 p.m. Instructions will follow at the earliest possible moment.

Costumes are ordered during the Thanksgiving Holidays and are usually received during April. Costume deposits are due during September and October. The final payment is due by December 10, 2010. See November newsletter for final costume prices.
